According to Joe Davidson of the Washington Post, the answer is yes. You can read his piece here. Already, full-time and seasonal workers receive these benefits. However, temporary workers are those who work less than 6 months a year. Why should these not-even half-timers receive benefits that no private part-timer would ever enjoy? If these part timers want full time retirement benefits they should go out and work for it instead of choosing to do a part time job building trails for the Forest Service. While they might love their part time jobs, that is hardly a justification for endowing them with lavish benefits for a job done by summering college students.
