Warning Issued Over Plans to Slash ATV Access

Last year I was told I couldn?t ride my ATV in the woods and I knew logging crews where logging heavily and I wanted to see the damage they have done. In this picture of many I have, they did oil changes and left 5 gallon petroleum cans behind and they are dumped throughout the forest where logging has been done. These areas closed to ATV?s are now void of deer and turkey because of the trails they used to travel are grown over now. Other trails of Forest property has land locked vast areas only assessable through private property and giving those land owner exclusive access to these areas to do whatever they want including poaching.
Those who think they are closing the land to preserve the land, is actually doing far more harm than one can imagine. Take Kaibab for example, this vast area was closed to hunting and access by President Teddy Roosevelt and the devastation that followed took generations to restore. We have already learned a devastating lesson, let?s not repeat it!
Keep the Forest Open for those to use it. Not to have it closed by special interest!
